It is with a very heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to close Solihogs Hedgehog Rescue Centre. Due to my deteriorating health, I have had to accept that I can no longer continue in the way I would wish. This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, and it is not one I have taken lightly.
I have truly loved every minute of this journey, through both the highs and the lows. Along the way, I have been lucky enough to meet so many wonderful, caring people who share the same passion, kindness and dedication to helping hedgehogs and protecting wildlife.
Together, we have managed to rescue, rehabilitate and release more than 1000 hedgehogs back into the wild, giving each one the chance of a safer and healthier life. Every little hog that came through our doors has meant so much, and I will always be proud of what we achieved together.
Solihogs would never have become what it is without your generous support, donations, encouragement and love for these beautiful animals. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing by me and by Solihogs. Your kindness has made a real difference, and although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories and the impact of your support will stay with me always.
A very special thank you to everyone, past and present, who has given their time, care and kindness to volunteer with us. I am especially grateful to Lynn, Charlotte, Deb, Pam, Emma and Katie for all your support, dedication and love for the hogs. You have all helped make Solihogs such a special place, and I will always be thankful for everything you have done.
